  • Please show up as you are. If you would like to enhance the sense of relief in your body you can stay hydrated in the days leading up to your massage as your muscle tissue will open more easily. This is also true if you take a hot shower or bath beforehand as heat will bring blood flow to your muscle tissue and prepare your body for the work.

  • To maximize the benefits of your session, it's important to take it easy for the rest of the day. Avoid strenuous activities, intense workouts, and alcohol.

Note: If you're new to massage therapy and unsure how your body will respond, I recommend scheduling your session on a day with minimal activities. Some people may feel tired after a treatment, which is completely normal, but it's helpful to plan for a relaxing day afterward.

  • If you're dealing with built-up pain or chronic tension, I recommend scheduling sessions every 10 days to two weeks at the start. This frequency is important for breaking down lactic acid and releasing knotted tissue. Once you begin to feel relief and less tension in your day to day life, you can transition to maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 weeks. Regular bodywork, whether weekly or monthly, helps keep your body functioning at it’s best.

Massage therapy is an excellent tool for stress management as well. Taking time for self-care helps reduce cortisol levels and lowers blood pressure.
